Sunset in Wharton TX

I did a lot of traveling this week--from Austin to San Antonio to Houston to Brownsville, and back to San Antonio! I don't recommend that much driving to anyone. Too hard.

But, as I drove through Wharton TX, south of Houston on the way to Corpus, I passed this small pond as the sun set, and had to stop and take a photo.

.

I have a few more, but this shot is my favorite. I hope you like it. As usual, when I find more "photo ops," I will post them up.

all the best,
Mike Z

  4. @Kairi-Linda, You're right I was a little concerned about the size on the page, but Google determines that I think. I have that photo as my wallpaper on the "travel" computer. Nice.
So great your little one's getting a tooth! Many more joys and surprises to come for both of you...
Thanks so much for stopping by!

  5. So beautiful! I have tried to capture many sunsets, but the color never seems to get to the camera. But the color in your photo is spectacular.

  6. Thanks for the great comments. I admit it takes a little "post production" after the shot to make the photo look like I remember the scene. But I never like to do too much.
Hope your garden is weathering the cold weather! we have all our plants in the garage for now.
    Best regards,
    Mike Z
